What better way to learn to count than guessing how many baby animals there are each time one more is added. . .all the way to six! These interactive Photoflaps™ are perfect first books.
From The Critics:
In this board book, toddlers will count baby animals ranging from one baby goat to six kittens. The difference here is that a statement is made on the left hand page --"Here are two puppies"--The flap on the right hand page shows one more and asks how many can be seen. When the flap is turned, the number appears along with the requisite number of animals. The concept of counting is pretty challenging for toddlers and adding to that number is most difficult. This book will best be used to simply count how many little animals are hidden under each flap.
... features delicately tinted photos of young children, animals, and everyday things. Lift a simple cardboard flap and see, for instance, what happens when we start with five ducks and add one more. Or discover where a baby's hat belongs. (On his head, of course!)
