A context based approach to learning English for children aged 4 to 7. With instructions on the CD-ROM in different languages this is ideal for EAL ESOL students.
What can four animals do when they are no longer wanted? Run off to Bremen to become buskers! But Bremen is a long way away, and our four heroes are old. When they stop for the night they see a ramshackle house and decide to sing for their supper - with unexpected results! Adapted from the original Bremer Stadmusikanten by the brothers Grimm.
"The Buskers of Bremen" Interactive Literacy CD-ROM is part of a series of e-books that help students to improve their English. Pupils watch a video of the story, complete with vivid illustrations from the original picture book, then take part in fun quizzes on reading and listening comprehension, synonyms, prepositions, capitalisation, word endings, rhyming words, and much more. With the Storytelling function, students can even write their own stories about the buskers, using images from the CD-ROM.
Each Interactive Literacy CD-ROM comes with teachers' notes and whiteboard interactivity. Narrated instructions in a choice of eleven languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Panjabi, Polish, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, Sylheti and Urdu) make this the perfect learning tool for the multilingual classroom.
